The team is dedicated to delivering high-quality legal services with efficiency, professionalism, and exceptional client service. As their real estate practice continues to expand, they are seeking a detail-oriented and flexible Legal Assistant to join their collaborative environment.Your New RoleAs a Real Estate Legal Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting real estate transactions from contract to closing. You will prepare and organize transaction documents, coordinate with clients and third parties, assist with title-related matters, track critical deadlines, draft correspondence, and maintain organized digital and physical files. The position also includes providing administrative support to senior team members and assisting with banking requirements as needed.Key Responsibilities Include:Preparing, reviewing, and organizing real estate transaction documents, including contracts, closing statements, deeds, and title documentsCoordinating and communicating with clients, real estate agents, lenders, title companies, and other parties involvedMaintaining consistent communication with clients throughout the transactionManaging and tracking deadlines for contingencies, inspections, and closing schedulesAssisting with title searches and reviewing title commitmentsDrafting correspondence and legal documentsMaintaining organized digital and physical filing systemsProviding administrative support to the Managing Partner, Head Law Clerk, and Law ClerksEnsuring accuracy and completeness of all documentationAttending major banks for transactional needs (valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required)Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills & ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have:3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Law Clerk in a real estate law settingA Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma from a recognized institutionStrong knowledge of real estate transaction processesExcellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to support multiple prioritiesStrong planning abilities and the capacity to meet tight deadlinesAbility to follow up and obtain information with minimal supervisionProficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management software (Unity and PCLaw required)Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detailSuperior writing, proofreading, and editing abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility and initiative to meet the needs of the practiceKey CompetenciesThis role requires strong communication, organization, accuracy, and judgment.
