From immersive AR/VR experiences to award-winning toys, Abacus Brands brings learning to life through creativity and technology.The OpportunityWe’re looking for a Senior Production Designer with exceptional technical precision and production expertise. This role is hands-on and deeply rooted in preparing flawless print-ready and digital-ready files—packaging, die-lines, large-format graphics, marketing collateral, and vendor-specific production assets.You’ll work closely with the Senior Art Director and broader Creative Team to bring concepts through the finish line with accuracy, consistency, and reliability.This role does not involve UX, VR, or game design.What You’ll DoProduction-Ready ExecutionPrepare pixel-perfect final files for print, packaging, large-format assets, digital exports, and vendor-specific deliverables.Work with die-lines, colour profiles, coatings, finishing requirements, and production specs.Troubleshoot print issues, manage file organization, and ensure output accuracy across all deliverables.Design SupportProduce print-based assets, packaging design elements, and supporting graphics based on established creative direction.Translate creative concepts into production-ready formats while ensuring brand consistency.Workflow & Quality ControlMaintain structured file systems, naming conventions, and production workflows.QA all outgoing assets for accuracy, alignment, colour correctness, and compliance with vendor requirements.Team CollaborationPartner with Creative, Marketing, and Product teams to complete projects efficiently.Communicate clearly, manage timelines, and multitask across multiple concurrent production jobs.What We’re Looking For• 5+ years of experience in production design or print-focused graphic design.• Advanced expertise in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and strong familiarity with print production workflows.• Deep knowledge of colour management, pre-press, die-lines, and printing processes.• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and optimize files for efficiency.• Strong eye for detail, with a methodical and organized workflow.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Post-secondary degree/diploma in Graphic Design.• Fully proficient with Mac OS.• Up-to-date understanding of industry standards, techniques, and technologies.Why Abacus Brands?• Competitive salary + full health, dental, and vision benefits.• On-site in the heart of Yaletown, Vancouver.• Work on meaningful projects that impact children's learning experiences.• High autonomy, fast execution, and opportunities for growth.How to ApplyInclude all three for consideration:Portfolio showcasing packaging, print, and production workShort intro about you and why you're a fitResumeLocation: On-Site — Vancouver, BCSalary: CAD $75,000–$90,000
