This pivotal role supports our end-to-end bid processes, including accurate quoting, estimating, and managing contracts and tenders. Working closely with the Commercial Manager and Executive Director, you will help drive the organisation’s strategic objectives, contribute to winning new work, and ensure seamless project transitions across the business.In this role, you will be responsible for preparing precise quotations, tenders, and cost estimations while ensuring strong stakeholder relationships and high-quality commercial outcomes. You will play a key part in supporting business growth, improving processes, and maintaining compliance with commercial and organisational standards.Key Responsibilities Skills and Experiences: Support & InnovationContribute to business growth by supporting the Commercial Department’s strategic objectives.Assist in driving innovation, strong business development practices, and effective bid outcomes.Help deliver the goals outlined in Eastern Guruma’s Strategic, Marketing, and Sales Plans. Stakeholder Engagement & Client ManagementBuild and maintain strong business relationships with clients and suppliers.Provide responsive, high-quality quoting and estimating support.Assist with Contracts and Tenders, ensuring positive client engagement. Project Estimation & Tender ManagementPrepare accurate quotes, estimates, and tender packages in collaboration with clients.Analyse labour, materials, and timeframe requirements to prepare cost estimates and reports.Support a smooth transition of awarded projects to the Operations team. Quality Assurance & Data ManagementMaintain high-quality standards across commercial processes and systems.Ensure accurate record-keeping, data entry, and commercial schedule management.Support efficient project conversion and scheduling. Collaboration & Workflow ControlWork closely with client tender teams to maintain efficient workflows.Assist with commercial variations and contractual matters post-handover.Contribute to smooth operational delivery through effective communication and support. Commercial ComplianceEnsure adherence to relevant Acts, Regulations, IMS, IT Systems, FRM, and HRP requirements.Uphold probity, due diligence, and prudent commercial practices throughout the bidding process.About YouHolds a relevant tertiary qualification in Business or Engineering or related fieldProven experience in quoting, estimating, tendering, or commercial support roles within the mining, civil, or construction sectorSkilled in Strategic Development Planning as well as development, implementation, and operation of sub-plans in Marketing and Sales.Experienced in matters relating to Governance, including Board meeting preparation and facilitation of matters involving Director’s interaction.Basic experience in Facilities Management operations and requirements.Highly organised, analytical, and detail-orientedA strong communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills, both written and verbalAble to work collaboratively and manage competing prioritiesConfident with commercial systems, data management, and compliance processesHighly proficient with computers with previous experience with Pronamics Estimator, Pronamics Expert Project and Budget, Primavera 6 and Microsoft Office applicationsWhy Join Eastern GurumaCompetitive salary packagePermanent full-time positionMonday to Friday position based at our Head Office in the Perth CBDAccess to our Reward & Recognition Program, including retail discountsWork in a collaborative and supportive team environmentOpportunities for professional development and career growthOpportunity to support meaningful projects and business growthIf you’re a proactive and detail-focused commercial professional looking to make an impact, we’d love to hear from you.
