Role PurposeThe Event Director provides strategic leadership and creative vision for all events and experiences that shape public engagement and strengthen the organization’s presence locally and internationally. The role ensures every event — from high-profile government ceremonies to public activations — delivers meaningful impact, aligns with brand strategy, and upholds world-class execution standards.Main ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning & LeadershipDevelop and lead a comprehensive event strategy that enhances visibility, reputation, and stakeholder engagement.Translate the organization’s communication objectives into experiential concepts that inspire and engage audiences.Oversee the annual events roadmap, aligning it with brand, communication, and marketing initiatives.Ensure all events reflect the organization’s identity and strategic direction.Creative Direction & Experience DesignChampion innovation and creativity across all event formats, introducing new experiential and digital engagement trends.Supervise the creative direction of ceremonies, launches, and activations, ensuring storytelling consistency.Partner with creative and content teams to deliver events that integrate visual identity, multimedia, and narrative impact.Operational ExcellenceOversee end-to-end event management including planning, production, on-site delivery, and post-event analysis.Ensure all events are executed on schedule, within budget, and according to established quality and safety standards.Maintain high levels of operational readiness, including contingency planning and risk management.Partnerships & Stakeholder RelationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with government entities, sponsors, and strategic partners.Collaborate closely with internal departments and external vendors to ensure alignment and delivery excellence.Represent the organization in key stakeholder discussions and cross-government event planning committees.Performance & EvaluationEstablish KPIs and success frameworks to measure the impact of events on brand perception and audience engagement.Analyze post-event data and insights to drive continuous improvement and strategic refinement.Leadership & People ManagementLead, inspire, and develop a high-performing events team, fostering creativity and accountability.Oversee external agencies and production partners, ensuring adherence to brand values and quality standards.Promote a collaborative and innovative culture that emphasizes learning and excellence.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Events Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field (Master’s preferred).Minimum 12–15 years of experience in event management or experiential marketing, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proven experience managing large-scale, high-visibility events (national, cultural, or governmental).Strong knowledge of event design, creative storytelling, and digital experience integration.Experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple agency relationships.
