POSITION: Executive – International Sales (Commodities Trading)COMPANY: Leading Global Manufacturing & Export Organization LOCATION: Colombo, Sri LankaSALARY: LKR 120,000 + Commissions + Company Benefits (Based on the experience)OVERVIEWWe are partnering with a globally established and rapidly expanding organization in the commodities trading sector. The company is involved in sourcing, processing, and exporting a wide portfolio of agricultural commodities, including spices, coconuts, dried fruits, nuts, and essential oils. This role is suited for commercially driven and analytical professionals who aspire to build a career in international trade. Selected candidates will gain extensive exposure to cross-border sales, global market dynamics, and high-value commercial operations.WHO SHOULD APPLY• Professionals with 1–2 years of experience in international sales, commodities trading, export management. • Individuals who have worked with agro commodities, FMCG exports, or global supply chain operations • Candidates experienced in managing international client portfolios, distributors, or high-volume B2B accounts • Professionals familiar with trade pricing models, sales forecasting, and negotiation • Applicants with exposure to Incoterms, LC handling, export documentation, and international logisticsKEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Identify, pursue, and close sales opportunities across global markets • Manage commercial relationships with buyers, importers, agents, and distributors • Conduct market intelligence on pricing trends, demand forecasting, and competitor activity • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, finance, and documentation teams to ensure smooth order execution • Prepare quotations, negotiate contract terms, and manage the full sales cycle • Monitor client performance, trade risks, payment timelines, and customer satisfaction • Participate in global trade fairs, virtual buyer meetings, and key account discussions • Contribute to revenue planning and international sales growth strategiesQUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor's Degree in International Business, Agribusiness, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related fields • Minimum 1+ years of experience in international sales or commodities trading • Strong knowledge of export operations, trade finance, and global shipping procedures • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with strong commercial acumen • Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage) • Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM systems, and trade documentation platforms • Ability to adapt to multicultural environments and maintain strong client relationships • Excellent negotiation skills.
