Job Description

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust offers a programme of F3 posts across a range of specialties. These posts are suitable for doctors who have completed Foundation Training or an equivalent programme, and they provide excellent opportunities for clinical experience and professional development. The programme is typically structured as two 6‑month rotations, although this may vary depending on specialty availability.Postholders will be encouraged to attend departmental teaching sessions and will have access to study leave, including £400 in funding and 10 days per annum, as well as access to the Horus portfolio. They will also be supported to undertake small projects and to present at conferences where appropriate.While individual posts will vary, typical duties include ward work, participation in ward rounds and multidisciplinary meetings, as well as time in theatre (where relevant) and outpatient clinics. There will also be opportunities for a one‑to‑one training review, supported by a local annual review process.There Are Potential Opportunities Across a Range Of Specialties Within The F3 Programme. Please Note That Availability May Vary And Will Depend On Your Ranking At Interview. Specialties IncludeCardiology, Emergency Medicine, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Haematology, Intensive Care Medicine, Medical Oncology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Renal Medicine, and Stroke Medicine.The specified job purposes will be different for each speciality and listed in the job description. Candidates will have the opportunity to present their preferred specialty to the panel.
