The Finance Analyst is a key member of the Finance team responsible for a broad range of accounting and administrative tasks, with a focus on accuracy and ownership. This role ensures timely reporting, supports audits, and contributes to the ongoing improvement of financial systems and workflows.Job Title: Finance AnalystKey Responsibilities:Bookkeeping and AccountingMonitor the Group’s purchase ledger including posting invoices to SAP B1, liaising with other team members for approvals and sending weekly aged payable reports to the Head of Finance for payment processing.Posting Transactions: Record financial transactions such as receipts, payments and expenses into SAP B1, ensuring all applicable taxes are accounted for correctly.Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements with SAP B1 on a regular basis to ensure that the records are accurate and up to date.Cash ManagementCash Flow Monitoring: Assist in monitoring cash inflows and outflows to ensure the Group maintains sufficient liquidity for its ongoing operations.Provide weekly reports of aged receivables to the Head of Finance for collections. Financial Reporting and AnalysisSupporting Financial Statements: Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.Forecasting: Assist in cash flow forecasting and budgeting to ensure that the Group remains financially healthy.Audit SupportAudit Preparation: Assist with the preparation of data for external auditors, ensuring that all financial records in SAP B1 are accurate and ready for audit review.Documentation: Ensure that all relevant documents, such as receipts, invoices, and contracts, are properly filed and accessible for auditing purposes.System Management and IntegrationSAP B1 Maintenance: Help maintain the SAP B1 system, including updating chart of accounts, setting up new accounts, and ensuring proper integration with other systems.Improving Processes: Identify areas where automation or process improvements can be implemented within SAP B1 to streamline workflows and increase accuracy.Skills and qualifications Finance qualifications are essential.At least one year’s experience in bookkeeping/accounting Relevant knowledge of UK taxes ideal but not essential.Good general knowledge of SAP B1.Strong working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishDemonstrable initiative, be analytical and inquisitive
