The role in a nutshellIn this role, you will be a trusted contributor to the organization’s financial excellence. You will assist in enabling dependable reporting cycles, enhance fundamental accounting operations, and collaborate with global finance teams to provide valuable insights. You will also play an important part in ensuring audit readiness and supporting key transformation initiatives, including upcoming system enhancements. More specifically, you will be expected to:Ensure accurate and timely month-end close, including journals, reconciliations, accruals, costs, and estimates.Oversee submission of financial data within Hyperion Financial Reporting (HFM) and manage HFM reporting uploads.Execute processes and provide support to the team within the accounting sub function, which includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Intercompany Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Cost Accounting, Tax Accounting, Payroll Accounting and Employee Expense Management Accounting as required.Collaborate with members of finance teams across a multinational organization to prepare and review accounting and financial reports.Coordinate information requirements relating to tax, external, and internal audits.Assist in an upcoming ERP data migration project. Do you have what it takes?Degree/Diploma in accounting, finance, or related field.CPA or similar professional designation preferred.3 to 8 years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and month-end close processes.Experience within the mining or industrial sector is an asset.Deep understanding of accounting principles, IFRS, and relevant financial regulations.Advanced skills in financial software, ERP systems (SAP preferred, HFM), and Microsoft Office Suite.In depth knowledge of the SAP FICO module and Accounting Standard (IFRS).Attention to detail, integrity, and responsibility are essential for producing precise and trustworthy financial data.Skilled in analytical, organizational, and problem-solving tasks, with the ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support system changes and cross-functional initiatives.Travel: Occasional travel may be required (less than 10%)Language: Advanced proficiency in English (verbal and written) is mandatory.
