Bring your financial expertise to a values-led, kaupapa-focused organisation.Te Hapū o Ngāti Wheke Inc and its subsidiary investment company Te Poho o Tamatea Limited are seeking a proactive, trusted, and experienced Financial Administrator to support the growth of both entities as we look to grow and best utilise our asset base (currently $18M).This role will suit someone who is comfortable working across a variety of financial support areas and who shares our commitment to supporting a wide range of kaupapa aligned to the aspirations of Te Hapū o Ngāti Wheke. You'll work flexibly with our teams, providing high-quality support to ensure our financial systems and reporting remain robust and responsive.You will enjoy a positive and flexible working environment in a stunning location in newly built Office facilities with opportunity to also work from home some of the time.We Are Looking For Someone Who BringsAn understanding of Te Ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, with the ability to work respectfully and effectively within a kaupapa Māori environment.Proven experience in financial administration, particularly using Xero for day-to-day bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and reporting.Hands-on payroll expertise, including processing payroll for both employees and contractors, and a solid understanding of PAYE, KiwiSaver, leave entitlements, and employer compliance obligations under IRD requirements.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach to working with others.Energy, enthusiasm and fresh ideas, with a willingness to contribute beyond the basics and support the continuous improvement of our systems and mahi.If you’re looking for meaningful mahi that makes a difference — we’d love to hear from you.For More Information Or To Apply, Please ContactAndrew Scott, General Manager, Te Hapū o Ngāti Wheke Incandrew.scott@ngaitahu.iwi.nzApplications close: Friday 28 November 2025
