In this important role, you’ll help ensure robust risk and control management, supporting ASB and our customers in a rapidly evolving environment.This is a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your expertise, judgement, and communication skills will be valued as you work with both internal stakeholders and external partners to uplift our risk culture and resilience.Mo te tūranga | About the roleAs a Technology Risk Specialist, You WillContribute to the implementation and management of risks and controls, procedures, and reporting that enable Technology & Transformation to manage risk appropriately and effectively.Provide assurance to management on the effectiveness of Technology and Cybersecurity controls, supporting operational risk and compliance.Act as a subject matter expert in Technology and Cybersecurity controls testing, promoting continuous improvement across the team.Create and execute test plans in accordance with ASB control testing methodology.Deliver reporting to senior stakeholders on the effectiveness of internal Technology and Cyber controls.Collaborate with stakeholders across the Bank, including Risk Professionals, to support the implementation of standards and baselines.Maintain effective business partnerships within the Technology & Transformation Division to actively promote risk culture, best practices.Participate in special assurance projects as required.Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful?Good understanding of business and IT operations, including the system/software development lifecycle.Experience in audit or control testing (5+ years preferred).Excellent specification and documentation writing skills.Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and autonomously.Demonstrated drive for results and ability to achieve objectives.Integrity and trust – you are seen as direct, truthful, and widely trusted.Tertiary qualification (Commerce, Business, Law, Information Technology) or equivalent industry-based experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to a diverse group of stakeholders.He aha tā mātou | What can we offer?Get the work-life equation right.
