Financial Analyst

We are currently partnering with a Market Leading Specialty Insurance organisation to recruit a Finance Analyst. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across central functions, driving efficiency and enabling informed investment decisions.Responsibilities include:Support the Senior Finance Manager in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for central and shared service areas.Conduct detailed cost analysis, identify optimisation opportunities, and challenge expenditure where appropriate.Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for shared services, linking operational performance to financial outcomes.Assist with the preparation of business cases for strategic initiatives, including financial modelling and investment analysis.Contribute to the continuous improvement of FP&A processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.Provide hands-on data analysis and support in resolving system or reporting limitations.The ideal candidate should have:Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or be part-qualified.Experience in cost management within complex or multi-entity organisations.Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills.Working knowledge of ERP and FP&A systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Anaplan, Adaptive).Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) and data visualisation techniques.Experience in the insurance industry or a related financial services environment.Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
