General SummaryThe Financial Analyst is responsible for budgeting/forecasting process, month-end closing and variance analysis, cash flow modeling and various ad hoc projects. This position supports the Wholesale business.The responsibilities described below are considered essential functions of the role. This position is based in our NYC office and requires working on-site five days per week.Major ResponsibilitiesPreparing annual budget and quarterly forecasts for multiple divisions and brandsDevelop balance sheet and cash flow forecasting model and review results monthly in order to make continuous improvements to the modelParticipate in month-end close process including variance analysis of expenses and gross margin reconciliationWork with staff accountants during close process to ensure proper accruals are madeDevelop models to improve the efficiency and accuracy of expense forecastingUpdate monthly sales and allowance reportingAssist in maintaining budget databaseTrack monthly expenses and identify opportunities for savingsUpdate and maintain bonus compensation modelsCalculate commissions for salespeople on quarterly basisSupport division heads with variance analysis and reporting needsComplete special projects for CFO and Corporate Controller as neededAble to manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as neededPerform other duties and special projects as assigned Specific Job SkillsAbility to understand and follow somewhat complex verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with othersMost decisions are made within company policy restraints, and some latitude exists. Strong follow up and completion skillsUnder general direction, examines moderately complex information and/or situations and prepares summary, solves problems for self, complex problems referred to supervisorHas no supervisory responsibility, provides basic work direction usually one-on-oneRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of 3 - 4 years of financial planning and accounting experienceProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systemsExcellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skillsHighly skilled in Excel, including pivot tables, macros and complex formulas in order to manipulate large amounts of dataExperience in cash flow modelingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience with Lawson a plusThe expected base salary for this position ranges from $85,000 - $95,000 Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
