Finance Assistant | London based | Salary £35,000 - £45,000 + benefits.I am currently partnering with a rapidly growing PE backed Renewable energy company who are looking for an ambitious Finance Assistant to come join their team. Key Responsibilities:Managing the efficient processing of high volumes of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely and accurate entries and reconciliation.Overseeing expense reports, petty cash, and corporate card reconciliation processes.Assisting the Finance Manager with key month-end activities, including preparing journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and maintaining supporting documentation.Performing balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the integrity of the general ledger.Managing daily bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow.Preparing weekly cash forecasts based on expected transactional inflows and outflows.Ensuring all financial transactions adhere to internal policies, GAAP/IFRS standards, and supporting external audit requirements.Working closely with the Operations team to ensure project-related costs, asset purchases, and inventory movements are accurately captured in the financial system.Identifying and implementing improvements to streamline transactional workflow and improve controls.What You'll BringA recent Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.Experience with financial software or ERP systems is a plus.Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly and concisely.A high degree of proactivity, curiosity, and resilience. Must thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven, and entrepreneurial environment.A genuine interest in the renewable energy sector and sustainability is highly desirable.For this role you will be looking to complete your CIMA/ ACCA qualification, and have either already completed a few exams, or will be looking to start this to work towards becoming fully qualified.
