Clearwater Partners is delighted to be working with a high growth, ambitious and market leading private equity backed company in the global logistics and travel sector to appoint a talented financial controller.After recent investment by a well known and highly regarded PE fund the business are embarking on an ambitious growth journey that includes a new executive team, global growth opportunities, M&A and systems implementations. All of this is geared towards the growth of the company measured both by revenue and market penetration.You will be working under a hugely respected CFO with the opportunity to own large aspects of the finance agenda and the chance to be guided and mentored for further development.This is a rare opportunity to work in a small but growing company in a broad role with huge amounts of autonomy under PE ownership.The Financial Controller will lead all financial control, reporting, tax compliance, andplay a key role in financial systems initiatives to support the companies growth trajectory. Working closely with the CFO and other senior leaders, the role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and seamless finance operations across a global footprint. This role is pivotal in steering the company through its first external audit, implementing an integrated accounting system, and enabling effective budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making in a dynamic private equity context.Key responsibilities include: ReportingSystems, processes and controlsAudit readiness and external audit managementBudgeting & forecastingTax compliance and transfer pricingM&A and integration supportTeam leadership and finance operationsCash management and treasuryPayrollQualifications and Experience: Professional qualifications: CA/CPA qualified (mandatory).Strong technical accounting foundation; Big 4 experience is advantageous.Several years of relevant experience outside traditional accounting roles (e.g., internal controls, financial systems implementation, strategic FP&A, or PE-backed environments).Prior exposure to complex, multi-jurisdictional operations; experience with manufacturing/logistics or service-based global businesses is beneficial.Involvement in ERP/accounting system implementations or major upgradesIf you are seeking a first step into Private Equity this could be the ideal opportunity.
