As our organization continues to grow, we are expanding our fleet leadership to support crews in multiple regions.Position OverviewThe Director of Fleet is responsible for leading and overseeing ArborWorks’ nationwide fleet operations. This role manages fleet strategy, asset lifecycle, maintenance programs, compliance, and logistics to ensure safe and reliable equipment availability for field operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all fleet operations across the U.S., including strategy and performance managementManage full lifecycle of fleet assets (acquisition, registration, utilization, disposal)Oversee maintenance programs with in-house technicians and mobile service teamsOptimize fleet logistics to support nationwide field deploymentTrack and improve fleet performance metrics (uptime, utilization, cost efficiency)Ensure compliance with DOT, EPA, and all transportation regulationsCollaborate with Operations, Safety, and Procurement to meet business needsManage fleet budgets, forecasting, and vendor relationshipsImplement technology solutions for tracking, telematics, scheduling, and analyticsLead, train, and develop fleet department staff (managers, coordinators, technicians)Qualifications10+ years of fleet management, logistics, or operations experience5+ years of leadership experience overseeing multi-regional or national fleetsStrong knowledge of fleet maintenance best practices and DOT complianceExperience with fleet management software and telematics solutionsStrong analytical and organizational skillsWillingness to travel regularlyPreferred:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation, or related fieldASE Certification or equivalent fleet maintenance credentialsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary: $120,000–$170,000Bonus PotentialRemote work environment (Phoenix-area based)Travel opportunities to support nationwide operationsComprehensive benefits packageOpportunity to make a national impact within a growing, mission-driven company
