Foreman

IntroductionOur client are looking for a Foreman to join thier Cape Town team. As a foreman you will be responsible to plan, organize and control the production facility of the CapeTown factory/ plant in order to produce therequired quantity of roof tiles and accessories within agreed quality and cost specifications.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning communicate daily with the commercial manager, sales and dispatch planning teamto ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained.To plan maintenance schedule.To assist with problem solving on breakdowns on the main production line.Ensure safety levels are optimal and good housekeeping in factory.Yard control to plan, organized and control the production facility to produce tiles and fittings of the correctquality and cost at the correct timeManagement of stock levels including critical spares and raw materials and ensure procurement proceduresare adhered to.Management stock counts and audits with finance and stock/ inventory control in system.Manage stock losses and variance tracking, production breakages.Negotiate with all suppliers of both raw material and maintenance spares for the timeous supply of materialsat the best possible rateMaintain good industrial relations, experience within a unionized environment, and adhere to proceduresbetween factory staff and management through the established IR procedures.Labour productivity, efficiencies and unit production costs.SHEQ Management and compliance with ISO 14001 & ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001Develop and motivate production staff to achieve agreed objectives regarding efficiency, quality, industrialrelations, health and safetyMaintain, review and develop the SABS Quality Management System to establish and maintain qualitystandardsControls to manage shrinkage and breakages.Management security breaches.Ensure implementation of the 5 S system.Desired Experience & QualificationMicrosoft package & PLC machines (Siemens)Lock out procedures are followed.Fault finding proceduresPrioritizing of activities with limited resources availableInterested?If this role interest you please apply here on Pnet or visit follow our Linkedin Page for similar roles https://www.linkedin.com/company/kl-recruitment/?viewAsMember=trueYou can also subscribe to our YouTube channel for more roles and interview/career tips -https://www.youtube.com/@klrecruitment
