The hotel comprises of 541 rooms and suites.Join our team as Front Office Manager!We are seeking an experienced Front Office Manager to join our leadership team at Shangri-La Colombo. This role is pivotal in overseeing the daily operations of the Front Office, ensuring that every guest receives a seamless, personalized, and memorable experience. As the Front Office Manager, we rely on you to: Provide strategic leadership and daily management of the Front Office, including Front Desk, Guest Relations, Concierge, Service Centre, and associated operations. Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining service standards in accordance with Shangri-La Hotels’ quality benchmarks. Oversee recruitment, training, career development, and performance appraisal processes within the department. Review and optimize departmental processes, ensuring compliance with internal financial and operational controls, company policies, and safety standards. Drive revenue generation through effective room inventory management, upselling initiatives, and close collaboration with the Sales, Reservations, and Revenue Management teams. Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure requirements. Supervise, coach, and develop a team of associates, leaders, and managers, fostering a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement. We Are Looking For Someone Who Has Demonstrated expertise in front office operations within a 5-star luxury hotel, showcasing a commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-centric approach. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations. Exemplary command of the English language is essential, with proficiency in additional languages considered a valuable asset. Demonstrated flexibility to accommodate a dynamic schedule, including availability for night shifts, weekends, and holiday hours. Sound knowledge of Opera PMS is essential.
