Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Gift Processing Coordinator on behalf of our client, a nonprofit creative arts center based in Los Angeles, CA. This is a hybrid, contract-to-hire opportunity that has the potential to turn into an amazing perm position for the right candidate!Responsibilities:Accurately process gifts, pledges, and payments in Tessitura.Coordinate pledge reminders and follow-ups for declined credit card transactions.Audit gifts from various channels to ensure accurate coding.Manage corporate matching gifts and planned giving records.Maintain up-to-date donation records and solicitation plans.Update donor records and store gift documents on the shared drive.Help improve gift processing, reconciliation, and receipting procedures.Support Finance with document requests during audits.Collaborate on fundraising reports for leadership and the Board of Directors.Assist with report creation and integration of Tessitura, Classy, and the website.Stay updated on donor database system changes.Perform other tasks as needed.Qualifications:Experience in a nonprofit setting, particularly in roles involving financial information or data entry, with strong attention to detail preferred.Basic knowledge of financial accounting principles and experience handling sensitive customer data is preferred.Familiarity with fundraising software, ideally Tessitura.Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook; advanced Excel skills are a plus.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, action-focused, has a quantitative mindset, and is passionate about supporting the organization’s mission.Compensation:This position offers an hourly pay rate of $25, a monthly technology stipend, medical, dental, vision and voluntary life insurance, an employee assistance plan (EAP), and commuter and transit benefits for those who are working on average 30 or more hours per week. An employee retirement plan is also available.
