Job DescriptionPosting DescriptionThe Infrastructure Finance and Advisory (“IFA”) team has a global mandate to originate, structure and execute infrastructure finance deals in developed and emerging markets. We are a ‘product agnostic’ team comprised of experts in project finance, bonds, loans and structured products. We assist other product and coverage partners in deals involving infrastructure assets – across loan and bond financing, M&A, equity raises, project finance advisory, derivatives structuring and other products. We engage with both greenfield and brownfield projects across the transportation, energy, power, telecommunications and social infrastructure sectors.Job ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a junior banker (Associate) to be based in Hong Kong to be part of the team that covers the Asia-Pacific region. The recruited professional would:Work with the IFA APAC team leader and other senior bankers to originate, structure and execute financings, including loans, bonds, structured products and credit enhancements from development finance institutionsBe responsible for day-to-day deal management Support senior bankers with the negotiation of transaction documentationDevelop financial models and complete financial analyses for infrastructure projects across all sectorsWork on drafting financing proposals, investor materials, road show marketing materials, rating agency presentations, pitch books and other marketing materialsAssist in completing transaction due diligence with advisorsWork with J.P. Morgan credit risk and legal teams to review transactions in connection with credit risk and other approval processesSupport senior bankers in answering investor and rating agency inquiriesConduct industry and company research to identify new opportunitiesRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsMinimum 3 years of investment banking or private equity experience required, preferably with infrastructure/project finance experienceBachelor’s Degree, preferably in accounting, finance, economics or a related fieldExcellent project finance modeling skillsStrong quantitative and financial analysis skillsExperience creating marketing materials and presentations in PowerPointMust be a self-starter who takes initiative and anticipates deal team needsWillingness to work hard and be a team player. We work closely with partners in banking, capital markets, credit, and various product groups, as well as our partners across the control functionsAn ability to juggle multiple deliverables for long-term transactions as well as a busy day-to-day scheduleABOUT USJ.P.
