Nov 26, 2025Global Packaging InternshipJob DescriptionBarilla Group is seeking talented students or recent graduates with backgrounds in engineering, material science, food technology, graphic design, or packaging science to join our Global Packaging Team at our Global Headquarters in Parma, Italy. We are offering 6-month internships starting in January 2026. All internships are full-time (40 hours per week).Job PurposeThe 6-month internships aim to provide you with exposure and training in day-to-day assignments, as well as the opportunity to contribute to specific projects within your assigned team. These internships are designed to offer real-world experience and on-the-job training through meaningful project work and daily responsibilities.Opportunities are available in two areas of the Global Packaging Team:Global Bakery Packaging Development Internship: You will support the approval process for new graphical packaging for bakery products, design and optimize Barilla packaging with a focus on sustainability, assist the bakery packaging development team in the design-to-print process, and help in the study, development, and application of new sustainable materials.Graphics for Packaging Internship: You will support the design-to-print activities of the Graphic team, work on the labeling tool, assist with new graphics print runs, engage in design-to-print activities for Barilla's new artworks, prepare files for print, support the definition of color standards, and execute mock-up activities for marketing approval. RequirementsFor the Global Bakery Packaging Development Internship: technical-scientific degree in engineering, material science, or food technology.For the Graphics for Packaging Internship: degree in graphic design or packaging science. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Illustrator and Photoshop) is a plus.Italian C2.English proficiency at a C1 level.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent planning and organizational skills, in addition to problem-solving abilities.A team-oriented approach and a can-do attitude.
