An ideal candidate with work with enterprise and data architects to design the GCP foundation, deploy key cloud services, implement Data-as-a-Service capabilities, and ensure secure, scalable, and cost-efficient operations. Key Responsibilities:Establish a GCP landing zone including org structure, projects, IAM, security policies, logging, and monitoring. Deploy and configure core GCP services (Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Composer, GCS, etc. Architect IAM: user/group structures, custom roles, service accounts, workload identity, and access governance. Design enterprise networking: VPCs, firewall rules, Shared VPC, private connectivity, hybrid networking and Network Connectivity Center.Build Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) platforms using GCS, BigQuery, and Cloud Composer to support the ingestion, transformation, and data delivery models. Implement autoscaling, performance tuning, and scale-up/scale-down strategies for compute, storage, and data workloads. Set up cost governance including budgets, alerts, tagging standards, and continuous cost monitoring & optimization. Automate deployments with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, enforce cloud operational standards and use of APIs for integration and interoperability. Help with developing a migration strategy to move existing integrations into the new environment. Build data pipelines to load different data layers and implement retention/cold storage mechanisms. Able to work independently in a DataOps domain and handle post production support operations. Requirements: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering from a recognized university. 5+ years of hands-on GCP experience in cloud architecture, platform engineering, or data engineering. Proven experience building cloud and data platforms from scratch. Strong skills in GCP compute, networking, IAM, GCS, BigQuery, Composer, and cloud service deployments. Experience building scalable data pipelines and DaaS models. Proficiency with Terraform, automation, and cloud cost optimization. Must have hands on Python programming experience.
