Overview We are seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Government Relations Manager to lead engagement with government stakeholders, monitor legislative developments, and guide advocacy initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who understands political landscapes, excels at communication, and can translate organizational priorities into effective government relations strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & LeadershipDevelop and implement government relations strategies aligned with organizational goals.Identify policy opportunities, risks, and emerging issues that may impact operations or growth.Advise leadership on political, regulatory, and legislative developments.Government & Stakeholder EngagementBuild and maintain relationships with government officials, agencies, regulators, and policymakers.Represent the organization in meetings, consultations, committees, and public forums.Coordinate strategic outreach to elected officials and public-sector partners.Policy & Legislative MonitoringTrack and analyze legislation, regulations, and government initiatives across relevant jurisdictions.Assess the potential impact of policy changes and prepare internal briefs and recommendations.Monitor political trends and provide timely insights to senior leadership.Advocacy & CommunicationsLead the development of policy submissions, position papers, briefing notes, and talking points.Support public affairs messaging and alignment across communications, policy, and operational teams.Prepare materials for meetings with government stakeholders, including presentations and reports.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with policy, communications, operations, and executive teams to ensure coordinated approaches.Support integration of government relations insights into strategy, planning, and decision-making.Guide internal teams in understanding regulatory requirements and government processes.Event & Meeting CoordinationOversee planning for government meetings, roundtables, conferences, and advocacy events.Manage logistics, agendas, follow-ups, and internal preparation.Ensure clear documentation of outcomes and next steps.Qualifications3–5 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, policy, or a related field.Strong understanding of government structures, legislative processes, and political dynamics.Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.Ability to interpret policy, analyze complex issues, and develop clear recommendations.Experience preparing briefings, advocacy materials, or submissions.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Ideal Candidate TraitsStrategic, politically savvy, and confident in high-level discussions.Diplomatic, professional, and skilled at navigating sensitive issues.Proactive, resourceful, and calm under pressure.Strong leadership presence with a collaborative mindset.
