Graphic Design Artist

At Club Zella, we’re building Africa’s next cultural-tech powerhouse — where myth, music, and storytelling meet. Our flagship project, Orisha Warz, reimagines African mythology in a dynamic comic universe that connects fans, creators, and brands. We’re expanding our creative production team and looking for a skilled Comic Graphic Designer to join us on a per-project basis. ABOUT THE ROLE Club Zella - the team behind Orisha Warz, Africa’s bold Afro-fantasy comic universe, is looking for a Comic Graphic Designer to handle the final visual and production phase of our comic issues, following completion of illustration and lettering. You’ll refine layouts, design overlay text and extra pages (title, recap, credits), and prepare issues for digital and print release. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Finalize comic layouts and add design overlays (SFX, CTAs, etc.) • Create extra pages and ensure visual consistency • Run quality checks before publication • Collaborate with the Art Director and Editor on reviews • Deliver production-ready exports for print and digital WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR • Proven experience with comic design, layout, or production finishing. • Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or Clip Studio Paint. • Understanding of print standards (CMYK, bleed, resolution) and digital publishing formats. • Eye for typography, composition, and storytelling through visuals. • Strong communication and file-management skills. • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results under deadlines. • (Bonus) Familiarity with Afrofantasy or visual storytelling rooted in culture.
