We are looking for a Group Controller (Head of Finance) who combines financial excellence with leadership, business partnering and transformation skills. In this central position, you will work closely with the CFO and global teams to shape the future of Finance and support the company’s strategic ambitions.Your new employerTopigs Norsvin is a global leading swine genetics company. Renowned for its innovative genetic solutions, cost-efficient pig production. Research, innovation, and fast dissemination of genetic progress are cornerstones of the company. Topigs Norsvin is committed to help their customers to be successful in terms of production, efficiency, sustainability, meat quality, animal robustness and healthy high productivity.Topigs Norsvin is headquartered in Den Bosch (NL) operates in more than 40 countries and has own local presence via subsidiaries in 20 countries. The majority is 100% owned. However, in some markets Topigs Norsvin genetics are distributed through joint ventures with other shareholders. In a number of markets the company works with external distributors.The finance department is headquartered in Den Bosch, consisting of 10 employees, including 4 controllers. The controllers support both international subsidiaries as regional controller, whereas most opco’s have their own local financial representatives (level of education and experiences varies per opco), And functional departments like IT and Supply chain. Activities like: Risk Compliance, Treasury, Tax, Legal etc. are distributed either by employed specialist, consultants or contractors. Accounting activities are executed for group level/holding and the Dutch local opco.Organization update August 2025Topigs Norsvin has been growing since 2014 more than 10% per year in sales and has expanded internationally, attracting a significant number of multinational clients. To stay on top we need to continue to invest in Research and Development. To be aligned to market developments and to service our customers as good as possible. Topigs Norsvin has developed a program to further develop the level of professionalism within the organization, strengthen organizational governance and grip, and promote collaboration across departments and markets. Change is an important factor for the coming years.Your new challengeThe Group Controller acts as a trusted advisor to the CFO, pro-actively providing deep financial insights, scenario analyses, and performance evaluations that support data-driven decision-making.The Group Controller plays a central role in the transformation of Finance into a more uniform and efficiently operating function delivering value to the realization of business goals. Ensuring reliable information, optimizing financial processes strengthening internal control and cross-functional collaboration.In this key role, you will lead the central Finance & control team and functionally manage the global Finance function.For the central Finance team the primary focus areas are consolidation & reporting, corporate tax and transfer pricing, treasury, control in relation to the functions R&D, supply chain and IT, accounting, and process improvement and automation/data management.In addition to the central Finance & control team, the global finance function consists of cluster Finance directors, leading finance for clusters of countries, who you will work closely together with for daily Finance matters and to execute the finance transformation agenda globally.The objectives of the Finance function are represented in its vision, as part of the total company transformation process, and reads:Guide and protect financial performance, by empowering business decisions with accurate information and data driven insights in an efficient way. Committed to maintaining the company’s financial health through regulatory compliance, improved forecasting and strategic alignment with long-term objectives. While driving sustainable value creation through risk management, effective cash management and stakeholder confidence.Responsibilities1. Provide driving and supportive financial leadership and team management Provide thought leadership to the Central finance team and the Global finance function community. Manage collaboration and alignment across the Finance community. Develop colleagues within the finance function to meet future needs and upskill existing talent on the deployment of finance solutions. Create new ways of working, including the embodying of new technologies, data and business acumen to increase added value towards the organization.2. Develop and ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies across financeBe the ambassador of the Finance strategy; create a roadmap and drive the change agenda to mature and professionalize the Finance function in collaboration with the CFO and the rest of the Finance team.Initiate and/or supervise the transformation from a decentralized to a more aligned and integrated financial organization and improve connection with the overall business strategy. Which includes the global implementation of an ERP tool, which has recently started.Be the organization’s owner of the processes by which financial data is created, transformed, governed, and transferred within the organization (data steward). Proactively partner with other functions where finance data often originates and is managed, to facilitate consistent data practices and foster the creation of a data-driven culture.3. Development and execution of accurate and compliant financial reporting and controlsEnsure uniform professional Finance standards, policies, processes and tools are being applied in the development of (management) accounting, reporting structures and internal control. Champion automation, technology and process improvements to minimize manual efforts and increase efficiency.Ensure timely, accurate and complete (financial) reports at group level.Ensure compliance with international laws and regulations and accounting standards.4. Lead an effective financial planning, budgeting and forecasting cycleBe the CFO’s trusted advisor for decisions about the company's financial health and strategy. Support the CFO in business performance reviews with the business.Manage execution and continuous improvement of the planning & control cycle, specifically in (cash flow) forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning processes. Use planning, budgeting and forecasting to anticipate in-year decisions, mitigate risks, model and assess scenarios, to (re-)prioritize initiatives synchronizing strategic, financial and operational plans to achieve business goals.Keep the organization aligned on enterprise performance goals by overseeing a robust framework of financial and operational performance indicators (KPIs) that directly support the achievement of both strategic business objectives and transformation of the Finance function.Encourage the use of predictive analytics and scenario planning to help the organization anticipate opportunities and risks.Your profileKey requirementsCompleted academic degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or a related field.A postgraduate qualification such as RA or RC (completed or in progress) is considered an advantage, though not required.8–12 years of relevant experience, including several years in an international and complex environment at group and/or business unit level.Proven experience in transforming financial processes and culture towards a business partnering approach.Strong capability to translate complex financial data into actionable business recommendations.Proven experience in leading and developing a Group Finance function within a corporate setting.Demonstrated experience with ERP systems, process optimization, and system implementation projects.Advanced knowledge of Power BI and modern reporting tools.Thorough understanding of Dutch GAAP.Able to bring experience, direction, and drive change - not only contributing ideas but shaping the transformation agenda.Excellent command of both Dutch and English (written and spoken).Based within reasonable commuting distance of ’s-Hertogenbosch.Willingness to travel internationally (at least four times per year).OfferSalary: from €120.000 up to approximately €150.000Company car25 vacation daysAttractive pension schemeOpportunities for professional development (to be discussed, e.g. RC program or master’s degree)Interested?Are you excited about this job as Group Controller (Head of Finance)?
