Job Description

Job FunctionTo ensure efficient and accurate consolidated financial reporting for the B&C businesses and the serve as the finance business partner to the country Heads of Finance across all B&C commercial operations. Responsible for consolidation of all business financial reporting and analysis, budgets and forecasts, capex and procurement, internal and external audit, tax, forex and treasury operations and management of all company risks and management of finance staff. To enable a high-performance culture and ensure compliance with financial regulatory and legislative requirements.Key Performance AreasFinancial Reporting:Monthly analysis of the financial performance of all Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and Mauritian (MZZMM) business units compared to budget expectation and prior financial periods.Prepare and coordinate monthly flash reports for MZZMM along with variance reporting.Provide internal management packs as required by the DPW Financial Management ERP and perform integrity checks on dashboards.Consolidate, analyse and report on financial performance of the MZZMM businesses against key metrics, KPI’s as well as implement corrective, preventative and improvement initiatives required to achieve financial targets.Review and analyse financial data regarding variables costs and related KPI’s and draw insights into assisting operational performance.Drive and manage fixed cost savings and related initiatives across the businesses.Ensure all non-standard financial entries and accruals are reviewed, accounted for and approved with support of relevant financial reports and related data.Provide business partner support on as hoc projects and reports as required.Forecasting & Budgeting:Formulate functional and operational budgets and drive the timeous and accurate completion of the budgeting and forecasting processes across the MZZMM businesses.Capex & Procurement:Prepare and revise annual capex requirements,Ensure capex requirements meet the relevant financial hurdle rates.Ensure capex and designated operational expenses are procured in accordance with DPW internal procurement requirements.Internal & External Audit:Provide relevant reports for measuring the effectiveness of internal controls.Implement continuous improvement of the internal financial process emanating from internal audit findings and recommendations.Manage the external audit process and ensure completion and timeous submission of AFS, annual reports and submissions to relevant financial authorities.Manage and implement new accounting standards within the business.Tax:Manage the overall corporate, VAT, and related tax exposures across all entities and ensure compliance with local authority tax standards across MZZMM.Manage the effective tax rate in line with local tax rates.Engage with the relevant local tax authorities and tax consultants regarding tax audits, disputes, resolution of tax queries and related matters.Ensure the group transfer pricing policy is effectively implemented in all tax-effected transactions to uphold the TP integrity against any potential tax audits.Treasury, Forex & Cash Flow Management:Manage cash flow proactively to ensure group objectives are achieved.Manage net working capital, net banking debt, inter-co debt, treasury requirements and foreign currency exposures in line with DPW policies.Effective financial reporting into group ALCO.Risk Management & Stakeholder Relationships:Ensure compliance to the Limits of Authority.Define and implement finance policies for multiple business units within various jurisdictions in the context of an analysed risk profile as well as relevant corporate governance.Establish and maintain a network of sustainable stakeholder relationships.Formulate integrated service delivery frameworks to ensure exceptional stakeholder service.Develop, implement and ensure compliance with the financial processes, policies and disciplines of the organisation.Qualifications RequiredCA or CMA qualification.Experience and Skills RequiredUp to 10 years of experience in a similar environment with at least 8 years business leadership or specialist experience.Financial Acumen – in-depth budgeting and cost management experience required.Commercial Acumen - In-depth commercial experience and understanding, in the insurance, logistics, or freight industry required.About DP WorldTrade is the lifeblood of the global economy, creating opportunities and improving the quality of life for people around the world.
