Stoddart Group are a leading supplier and installer of products to the residential building industry. A leader in what we do, Stoddart are the often unseen but ever-present backbone of the construction of a new home. We've pushed the industry's boundaries working with our customers to provide an innovative, smarter and more integrated solution to creating a beautiful home. Today this includes the supply and installation of steel house frames and roofing, lightweight cladding, guttering and downpipes, garage doors, and linings. This role forms part of our Support Services within the People & Culture team. This role works closely with our amazing internal and external stakeholders. We’re seeking a Group People & Culture Manager who understands the value of connection and can adapt fluidly between strategic and hands-on operational work. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and be passionate about improving workplace practices, enabling leaders, and shaping a strong, engaged culture. Reporting directly to the CFO and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, you will shape and deliver the People Strategy across the Group. This is a pivotal leadership role where your expertise will directly influence the employee experience, strengthen culture, and support long-term business growth.You will join a P&C team that is smart, capable, open-minded and collaborative - a team that shares ideas freely, backs each other, and is keen to learn.We’re looking for a People & Culture leader with strong strategic capability, a practical mindset, and a genuine passion for creating positive, inclusive workplaces.What You’ll Be DoingDesigning and delivering the Group People Strategy to strengthen systems, culture, engagement and leadership capability. Staying curious about the business — understanding priorities, challenges and opportunities — and converting these into meaningful people solutions. Partnering closely with the Executive team, providing data-driven insights and thoughtful workforce planning. Coaching and supporting leaders to lift engagement, enhance capability and build high-performing teams. Providing trusted, pragmatic advice across HR, IR, risk and compliance. Leading, developing and empowering a talented P&C team through coaching, clear direction and stretch opportunities. Championing diversity, safety and wellbeing across the organisation. Overseeing succession planning, policy development, performance frameworks and the P&C budget. Presenting insights and updates to the Board and Executive as needed. Who You AreYou’re a people-focused leader who brings energy when it’s needed, clarity when things get messy and calm when things get busy. You know how to lead strategic change while keeping people at the centre. You’re confident navigating complexity, communicating with influence and building trust across all levels.You’ll Also BringSignificant leadership experience within a People function, ideally at a Senior or Executive level. A natural ability to communicate and influence - both written and verbally. Significant leadership experience within a People function, ideally at a Senior or Executive level. Strong experience with HRIS and workforce systems, and a passion for improving processes through technology. Confidence working autonomously and making informed, evidence-based decisions. Resilience, adaptability and a steady hand during change. Genuine enthusiasm for developing people and building high-performing, inclusive teams. Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or related. Experience in heavy industry, contracting, construction or manufacturing (highly regarded).
