Job Description

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve high-quality coffee and specialty beverages, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment, including milk texturing and latte art.Train, mentor, and supervise baristas to ensure adherence to service, beverage, and cleanliness standards.Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for coffee preparation and outlet operations.Oversee daily outlet operations, including staff scheduling, attendance, and performance management.Handle customer interactions professionally, resolving complaints and ensuring excellent customer service.Manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other barista supplies, placing orders and tracking usage efficiently.Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with health and safety regulations across the outlet.Monitor daily sales, cash handling, and POS reporting, assisting in promotional campaigns and upselling strategies.Stay updated on coffee trends, brewing methods, single-origin beans, and seasonal blends to enhance the specialty coffee experience.Conduct quality checks on beverages and service to maintain high standards.Coordinate with suppliers for new coffee products, equipment maintenance, or operational needs.Assist in marketing efforts, including social media promotions or in-store campaigns to attract and retain customers.Prepare reports on outlet performance, sales, inventory, and staff performance for senior management.Foster a positive work environment, motivate the team, and address staff issues or conflicts promptly.Plan and execute seasonal or specialty coffee menu offerings, including tasting sessions or staff training.SkillsExpert knowledge of specialty coffee, including espresso, pour-over, French press, AeroPress, Chemex, cold brew, and single-origin beans.Proficient in latte art, milk texturing, and flavor profiling.Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Organizational and multitasking capabilities to manage staff and outlet operations efficiently.Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.Inventory management and basic financial oversight.Ability to stay updated on coffee trends, brewing techniques, and menu innovation.Attention to detail, hygiene, and quality control standards.
