The Company You’ll JoinWe are partnering, on a strictly confidential mandate, with a global company managing large-scale operations in Portugal. As the organisation continues to expand and reinforce its structure, it is now seeking a seasoned HR Director to lead the national HR agenda. This role requires solid experience in demanding, operationally intensive environments and the ability to influence at senior level.Your New RoleAs the HR Director, you will be responsible for leading the full HR strategy and operations across all Portuguese sites. Working closely with senior global leadership, you will act as the key HR partner for the business, ensuring alignment between people priorities and operational objectives.You will lead and oversee all HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Development, Performance, C&B, Employee Relations and compliance.You will translate business needs into clear HR initiatives that support growth, transformation and operational efficiency.You will manage labour relations, workforce planning and organisational development across multiple sites.You will ensure HR processes, policies and systems meet both legal and internal standards.You will partner with operations and leadership to drive engagement, culture, capability building and change management.You will provide guidance in complex HR matters, ensuring stability and strong stakeholder management.What You Need to SucceedMinimum of 18 years of experience in Human Resources, ideally gained in industrial or construction environments (mandatory).Proven experience leading HR in multi-site or large-scale operations.Strong command of Portuguese labour legislation.Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach.High level of autonomy, decision-making capability and organisational influence.Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder-management skills.Fluency in English (mandatory).Experience with organisational transformation or high-growth environments.Exposure to global HR structures or matrix organisations.Capability to lead HR digitalisation and process optimisation initiatives.Knowledge of HR analytics and data-driven decision-making.What the Company OffersA high-impact leadership role with full responsibility for the HR agenda in Portugal.Strategic visibility and direct interaction with senior global stakeholders.Opportunity to shape the HR function in a growing and evolving organisation.International exposure within a multicultural environment.A people-first culture focused on development, collaboration and continuous improvement.Competitive compensation package aligned with the seniority of the role.Next Step If you’re interested in this confidential opportunity, please send us your updated CV.
