HybridMid-LevelSalaryUp to £55kA leading global book publishing company is seeking a Head of International Sales to oversee its North American trade publishing sales and act as the main international contact for an an adult trade division. This is a key role in the company that will suit someone who enjoys combining day-to-day commercial management with longer-term planning.You’ll oversee distribution of the publisher’s trade books lists into the North American market, ensuring stock, print runs, reprints and logistical requirements are properly planned and monitored. You’ll work closely with colleagues in London and with the US company to maintain effective processes, introduce improvements where needed and keep title information flowing clearly ahead of each season.Alongside the print books programme, you’ll work with the e-book and audio teams to review reporting, strengthen digital sales and ensure the imprint’s international performance is tracked accurately.You’ll develop the division’s international strategy, assess emerging opportunities in all formats, and maintain productive relationships with customers and in-market partners.The role includes a central part in the budgeting, reforecasting and acquisitions cycle. You’ll prepare market analysis, set and monitor territory targets and contribute insight to acquisition discussions. You’ll also write author and agent pitches, present territory updates to the international team and the US office and take responsibility for schedule and critical-path information for your list.You’ll represent the company at key book fairs and industry events, with travel expected to be around three weeks per year.The publisher is looking for someone with proven experience selling trade books internationally, a strong command of sales data and forecasting, confidence with numerical planning and an organised approach to managing an active publishing schedule.The salary banding for this role is £48,500 to £55,000, plus competitive group benefits, and you’ll be based a minimum 2 days per week from Central London offices.If this rare opportunity sounds of interest to you, for full details, please send your CV to Danny Parnes at Think Selection – danny@thinkselection.com‍‍
