Product DesignerAbout Coalition GreenwichCoalition Greenwich builds analytics and business intelligence products that are integral to how the world’s largest corporate and investment banks, asset managers and fintech measure, plan and improve their businesses.These products include market analysis and benchmarking against peers on market share, revenue performance, client relationship share and quality, operational excellence, return on equity, brand perception, behavioural drivers, and analysis on industry evolution.Our customers include all the largest financial institutions, and we are the market leader in our space.Coalition Greenwich is a division of CRISIL, a $5bn market cap global analytics company which is majority owned by S&P Global.About The RoleWe are seeking a designer who can craft intuitive, seamless user experiences that solve real customer problems and elevate our product.As a Product Designer, you will shape the end-to-end user experience across multiple software initiatives. Working closely with product management, engineering, research, data and operations teams, you will translate complex requirements and customer insights into clear, intuitive, and high-quality design solutions. You will lead the creation of user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs; validate concepts through testing and feedback; and ensure design quality throughout the development lifecycle.You will be part of a small, collaborative team driving the transformation of our products into a seamless, user-centred digital experience built on a scalable design system.What the job involves:· Lead rapid prototyping with internal users and clients to validate concepts early, uncover problems and unmet needs, and translate feedback into clear design direction.· Serve as the dedicated UI/UX resource with the scrum team, shaping and delivering high-quality UI outputs that guide development and inform technical decisions.· Design and facilitate collaborative working session to create user journeys, wireframes and prototypes that solve complex workflows and align stakeholders around a shared vision.· Conduct user research and usability testing to validate assumptions and inform design choices.· Collaborate closely with product, engineering, data and operations teams to ensure design intent is carried through development and delivery.· Contribute to high-level experience and system architecture, making thoughtful trade-offs with cross-functional partners.· Support Agile development by providing design clarity, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring quality throughout the lifecycle.· Define and track UX metrics, using data and experimentation to iterate and improve.· Help evolve and maintain our design system and component library.· Bring fresh thinking from industry trends to improve our design processes and product experiences.· Develop expertise in a specialist area within the Design function to support the wider team.Requirements· Strong experience designing end-to-end experiences for complex B2B or enterprise software, ideally within financial services or similarly data-heavy domains.· Proficiency with modern sign and prototyping tools (e.g.: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).· Experience creating and maintaining design systems, component libraries, and style guides, and working closely with engineering teams on component-based architecture.· Comfortable leading discovery, validating concepts with users, and applying structured UX and product frameworks to solve customer problems.· Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, data and operations) with the ability navigate from high-level concepts to detailed interaction design.· Skilled in articulating design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with excellent written and verbal communication.· Experience working within Agile teams, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative delivery.· Demonstrated ability to work on digital transformation initiatives, contributing to design from initial conception through to development handover and lifecycle management.· A user-centred mindset paired with an opinionated, detail-oriented approach to improving processes, workflows, and product quality.Nice-to-have:It would be advantageous if you had some of the following:· Familiarity with usability testing and research tools like UserTesting or TryMyUI· Certification in UX design or a related field· Experience with accessibility design and testing· A history of successfully working with geographically and culturally diverse teams on large projects.· Experience with front-end development languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript· Experience with A/B testing and data analysis· Experience with design systems and style guide tools like Storybook and Bit· Familiarity with front-end development frameworks such as Angular.· Familiarity with project planning and management tools like Jira and ADO.The Ideal ProfileThis “ideal profile” is not a list of requirements – they are above – but rather a sense of the kind of person we think will thrive in this role. Initial 30-minute video call with a member of the Product team focused on your most relevant experience.3. Second video call with the CPO and another senior team member to explore your background in more depth.4. Product design take-home challenge that should take you no more than one hour. This will be delivered in an interactive and collaborative 30-minute face-to-face or video session with someone in the technology or product team. We’ll let you know whether you’re progressing to the next round within 2 weeks.5. Final 30-minute hybrid panel interview with a small group of your potential peers. We’ll let you know if you’re successful within 10 days. Step 4 and/or 5 will be in-person.
