Job Description

Working as part of a team or on your own to provide on-site Unit Management service, deploying, servicing or removing state of the art Medical Units in the UK. You will be responsible to ensure the unit Operators have everything they need to deliver the best possible service.Main DutiesUnit ManagementDrive the Medical vehicle or service unit to each site according to the agreed schedule and routeCommunicate with the site contact prior to setting up the vehicle, to ensure complete satisfaction of vehicle positioningErect the vehicle and equipment, in accordance with the standard layoutTo work in a flexible manner with the deployment team to solve problems and ensure the unit is delivered successfullyAny other reasonable task as instructed by your line managerThe role involves driving a variety of vehicles from van to class 1. Delivering consumables to units in a lightweight van and delivering / collecting lightweight medical vehicles to and from locationsA portion of this work will be yard based, readying units for deployments etc. Working 5 days out of 7 including occasional evening and weekend work. (£30 overnight allowance given)Working away from home for the duration of the shiftMedical Vehicle ManagementResponsible for maintaining the presentation of the vehicle and livery to the highest possible standard throughout deploymentReturning the vehicle to the designated storage site in a condition suitable for immediate departure to the next assignmentDiscrepancies or damage to the vehicle or third party must be reported to the Transport Manager & UM MangerCarry out any maintenance, or preparation duties, as required to complete each deployment, or to proceed according to the drivers scheduleService the vehicle and other equipment on siteCompliance Complete all paperwork, documentation and returns on time related to the tourEnsure compliance with Drivers Hours & working time directive (WTD)Maintain the highest level of personal presentation whilst adhering to the standards of attireEnsure on site risk assessments, site surveys are conducted and all records are submitted promptly and accuratelyPerformance MeasuresTo achieve no traffic and speeding offences or finesExceed client expectations with no negative feedbackAchieve no infringement on Tachograph or WTDTimely reporting of any Incidents or accidents complete with statements (24h)Client feedback reports 100% meets - exceed expectation in terms of vehicle delivery and Roadshow Manager Presentation, initiative and management of the eventRequirementsExperience- Essential Excellent customer service, organisational skills and interpersonal skills as well as;Attention to detail with regards to presentation of self, the unit and all aspects of workGood communicator and professional approach both internally and with clients, suppliers and the publicAbility to give constructive feedback and suggestionsSelf-Motivated and committed, to high standards and tight deadlinesFlexible attitude to work - the ability to adapt to changing demands and situationsAble to work away from home for extended periods, occasionally with unsocial hoursListening skills - to fully understand the requirements of each job when verbally briefedFull UK residency and hold a valid driving license and have suitable transport provisions (public transport is not recommended due to location of offices)Able to travel throughout the UK and OverseasAt all times you must work within the guidelines set out in EMS' ISO processes, Health and Safety procedures and the Employee HandbookThis post is subject to a satisfactory DBS check which will disclose all cautions reprimands and warnings as well as convictions.
