AJ Chambers are working with a top Cambridgeshire Law Firm who are looking for an additional member of their established Marketing Team with a Head of Marketing & Growth. The role will be responsible for driving and coordinating the firm’s profitable revenue growth. This role leads the marketing team and works closely with partners and lawyers across all departments to shape the firm’s marketing and growth strategy and ensure its successful execution.Main ResponsibilitiesEnsure the firm has a clear, coherent, and well-communicated business growth strategy.Work with each departmental head (or their nominee) to identify key target clients and growth prospects.Strengthen external market awareness of the firm’s capabilities, ensuring target audiences understand the Firms value proposition.Develop and support the firm’s lawyers so they are equipped to represent the firm effectively and operate as business development ambassadors.Collaborate with partners, lawyers, and heads of department to set annual revenue targets.Ensure the firm has a realistic, data-informed marketing and business development strategy.Partner with departmental heads to translate strategic goals into actionable plans, agreeing on the necessary enablers, funding, resources, and service levels (SLAs), and leading the marketing team to deliver.Foster a culture where all individuals are accountable for meeting their personal revenue targets and work proactively to identify and mitigate emerging risks.Maintain strategic oversight rather than direct ownership of client and prospect relationships, participating in pitches and presentations as required,Primarily focusing on empowering and developing lawyers to lead on these relationships.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and confidently.High levels of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and emotional intelligence, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and differing viewpoints within a partnership environment.The successful candidate will have the following skills:Strong consensus-building capability, able to bring together diverse perspectives, identify common ground, and establish shared goals; naturally collegiate and sensitive to others’ viewpoints.Proven experience enabling successful sales through others, whether by leading teams or supporting professionals to deliver in client-facing roles.Solid knowledge of core marketing disciplines relevant to a medium-sized organisation (e.g., digital and social marketing, event management, pitch materials, campaign execution).Demonstrated ability to set targets, hold others accountable, and manage delivery against agreed objectives.Experience in the legal sector is beneficial but not essential.The role will offer excellent benefits including 30 days annual leave, hybrid working along with a number of other benefitsSalary up to £70,000For further information please contact Ella Britton
