About The RoleFor informal enquiries, please contact Kim Dalziel (Portfolio Delivery Director) at Kim.dalziel@warwick.ac.uk Heads of Portfolio are accountable for the planning and delivery of portfolios (groups of projects, products and technologies) which span across significant areas of University operations and services. They will be driving forward a ‘digital first’ approach, championing the use of technology, transformative practices, and a culture of continuous improvement to deliver service excellence.This Post Will Lead The Teaching And Learning Portfolio, Which Includes All Projects, Products, Systems And Applications Involved With Academic Administration, Curriculum Management, Delivery And Assessment. This Postholder Willprovide strategic leadership for the vision, development and innovation of a portfolio of digital projects and products;define the portfolio roadmap, in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, Digital Business Partners, Business Owners & Product Managers;be accountable for the fulfilment of the portfolio roadmap, driving the definition, design, prioritisation, planning and execution of change and continuous improvement initiatives across the portfolio;hold overall budgetary responsibility for the portfolio;ensure the platforms are consistent with IDG Security practices and act as the audit contact point for this portfolio.The Post holder will be a key interface with senior university leaders relevant to their portfolio, utilising the ‘voice of the customer’ and University strategies to inform roadmaps and prioritisation.About YouYou will have experience of managing portfolios (collections of products and projects) in the Teaching & Learning domain.You will have significant line and matrix management experience of managing technical teams, product managers, project/delivery managers, business analysts and other change specialists, who are aligned to a Portfolio within the Information and Digital Group.You will use your technical expertise of leading teams through the different stages of change initiatives and agile methodologies to develop a strategy for delivery within your portfolio, continually improving the service and looking for new ways of working that will support complex and significant products and projects.You will be an inspirational leader, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to understand and interpret business needs, translating these into action plans and roadmaps.
