About the RoleAbu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) is seeking a proven project finance leader to head one of the GCC’s most active and sophisticated franchises. With a portfolio spanning over 20 landmark transactions annually, ADCB stands at the forefront of structuring, financing, and advising on transformational infrastructure projects across the region and internationally.As Head of Project Finance, you will lead the bank’s efforts across a wide range of asset classes, including -- Power, Energy, and Water projects; Industrial, Transport, and Hospitality infrastructure; and Digital Infrastructure inter alia -- driving origination, execution, and client strategy. The mandate combines commercial acumen, sectoral depth, and team leadership — ideal for a senior executive who thrives at the intersection of strategy, structuring, and stakeholder influence.Role OverviewThe Head of Project Finance will:Define and execute ADCB’s project and infrastructure finance and project finance advisory strategy in alignment with the bank’s broader corporate banking prioritiesOriginate, structure, and close complex project and acquisition financings and advisory mandates across key sectors — including IPP/IWP (CCGT, PV, Wind, BESS), Water & Utilities (ISTP, ITP), Industrial Infrastructure, Transport (airports, ports), large-scale hospitality, and digital infrastructure (data centers) Lead and mentor a high-performing team of project finance professionals, enhancing institutional capabilities and fostering collaboration across risk, coverage, and syndication functionsRepresent ADCB as a thought leader and trusted partner to sponsors, developers, sovereigns, multilaterals, and international lendersDrive innovation in deal structuring, sustainable finance, and digital infrastructure opportunities — reinforcing ADCB’s evolution as the region’s most forward-looking infrastructure lenderKey ResponsibilitiesLead origination and execution of project finance and infrastructure transactions in the GCC and select international marketsBuild and sustain senior-level client relationships with sponsors, corporates, and government entitiesOversee structuring, risk evaluation, and documentation processes to ensure disciplined, high-quality executionManage and develop a multi-disciplinary team — setting strategic goals, mentoring senior associates, and driving accountabilityCollaborate across corporate banking, syndication, and product units to deliver integrated client solutionsChampion innovation and ESG-linked financing solutions that align with ADCB’s long-term sustainability agendaContribute to institutional positioning by representing ADCB in key forums, industry panels, and stakeholder engagementsThe ideal candidate should have the following experience15+ years of experience in project and infrastructure finance, ideally gained at leading regional or international banks, multilaterals, or ECAs.Demonstrated leadership of origination and execution teams across GCC markets.Deep sectoral knowledge of energy, utilities, industrial, transport, and digital infrastructure.Proven track record in structuring, negotiation, and risk management of large-scale transactions.Strong network of relationships with key regional sponsors, developers, and advisors.Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on deal execution.Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; credibility with board-level and sovereign clients.Demonstrated commitment to developing teams and institutional excellence.What we offer:Competitive Salary & additionally, all employees are eligible to participate in one of our rewarding variable pay plans.Comprehensive Benefits Package: This includes market-leading medical insurance, group life and personal accident insurance, paid leave and leave airfare, employee preferential rates on loans and finance facilities, staff discounts and offers, and children education assistance (for certain job levels).Flexible and Remote Working Options: We understand the importance of work-life balance and offer flexible working arrangements, subject to eligibility and job requirements.Learning and Development Opportunities: We value and facilitate continuous learning and personal development through a variety of exciting learning opportunities, such as structured instructor-led courses, a comprehensive e-learning catalog, on-the-job training, and professional development programs.
