About EviSmart™EviSmart™ is Evident’s AI-powered dental workflow platform that connects labs, clinics, and manufacturers end-to-end. The platform removes friction by automating the busywork between systems and teams so cases move faster with fewer errors.What it includes (modular):Case intake & Rx digitization (turn handwritten or PDF prescriptions into structured cases; auto-create in the LMS).Scan & Rx quality control (QC) (AI checks completeness/accuracy before production).CAD/CAM at scale (outsourced CAD design, remote nesting, and production acceleration).Operations backbone (LMS, centralized communications, and payments). What it solves: delays from missing info, manual data entry, and fragmented tools—so dental businesses can scale without adding headcount. - why does anyone care about this?Why this role existsWe’re scaling quickly and need a first-principles operator who can turn ambiguous, cross-functional problems into durable organizational solutions—then personally drive them to done. You’ll work directly with the CEO and partner tightly with leaders across product, engineering, customer success, finance, and sales. What you’ll doDiagnose & design organizational solutions across functions to remove bottlenecks and accelerate outcomes.Translate ambiguity into crisp operating designs (structures, ownership models, cadences, decision rights, interfaces).Own execution end-to-end—draft, socialize, pilot, ship, and iterate. Hands on. No team to delegate to.Partner deeply with functional leaders to co-create solutions: product, ops, CS, finance, sales.Model first-principles thinking over playbook cargo-culting; tailor solutions to our context.  Must-have capabilities Organizational designer: you create the blueprint (structures, roles, decision rights, governance)—you don’t just run someone else’s.First-principles thinker: you reason from goals and constraints, not “best practices.”Hands-on executor: you write the doc, run the workshop, stand up the cadence, instrument the metrics, and ship.Player-coach, not empire builder: you influence and enable without building a team.Fluent across functions: comfortable working with product, engineering, operations, CS, finance, and sales. Required experience (one of the following) Former Chief of Staff at a scale-up (~$50M–$500M revenue) with proven operating impact.Strategy consultant (McKinsey/Bain/BCG) who moved into an operator role and shipped material changes.Founder who built, scaled, and sold a company.Strategic operations leader at a high-growth company with cross-functional scope. How you’ll be evaluated Can you design organizations (not just execute processes)?Do you ship useful, measured improvements quickly?Do stakeholders seek you out to solve hard, cross-functional problems?Can you explain your reasoning from first principles under constraints?  Nice to have Experience designing decision-making systems (e.g., RACI/DRI variants, RFC processes, operating cadences) adapted to context.Prior work aligning exec teams around prioritization and investment trade-offs.Comfort instrumenting operating metrics and running lightweight experiments. Compensation & benefitsCompetitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
