Head of Strategic SaaS Partnerships (US) – JaaS39

Posted: 3 hours ago

Job Description

We’re building a new layer of internet infrastructure: where jurisdiction and digital sovereignty become something you can actually configure, prove and sell – not just mention in a legal appendix. Our initial demand and regulatory pressure are strongest in Switzerland and the EU, where financial regulators, DORA, GDPR and national data protection laws are already forcing institutions to rethink how they use cloud and AI. Early design partners are European banks, insurers and public-sector bodies – and they are explicitly asking for better ways to work with US SaaS and AI vendors under their own jurisdiction.JaaS39™ is looking for a senior operator at the intersection of SaaS, AI and regulated markets to lead our US ecosystem development from the San Francisco Bay Area / US West Coast. If you know how to open doors with US SaaS and AI vendors – and you’re tired of cosmetic “sovereign cloud” stories – read on.About JaaS39™JaaS39™ (Jurisdiction-as-a-Service) is building a sovereign Digital Fiduciary infrastructure for SaaS and AI workloads.Cloud and AI have collided with jurisdiction: CLOUD Act vs GDPR, FISA vs DORA, national security vs data residency. Today, most “solutions” are contractual and cosmetic. We’re building something operational.JaaS39™ is a neutral cryptographic and legal control plane that lets institutions choose and prove under which jurisdiction their SaaS and AI workloads operate – without moving the data and without trusting a single vendor. We work with:EU/CH regulated financial institutions (banks, insurers, asset managers),critical infrastructure and large enterprises, governments and public-sector entities. We are headquartered in Switzerland and are now preparing our US-facing SaaS ecosystem strategy. The Role – Head of Strategic SaaS Partnerships (US)We are hiring a Head of Strategic SaaS Partnerships (US) to own how JaaS39™ connects with the US SaaS and AI ecosystem, with a strong anchor in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is not a quota-carrying AE role. Your focus is on high-leverage alliances with SaaS and AI platforms – productivity, CRM, collaboration, AI copilot, vertical SaaS – especially those serving regulated and enterprise customers. You will work directly with the founding team in Switzerland and with European regulated design partners, shaping pilots and partnerships between US SaaS vendors and global regulated institutions. You will be the person who can sit with a CPO, Head of Product, VP Partnerships or CTO and make a compelling, concrete case for why JaaS39 is the sovereignty layer their enterprise and public-sector customers are asking for.Key responsibilitiesIdentify and prioritise SaaS and AI vendors where JaaS39 can unlock regulated and public-sector opportunities.Open and own executive-level conversations (CPO, CTO, Head of Partnerships, VP Product) with US-based SaaS and AI companies.Shape and negotiate partnership structures:pilots and controlled rollouts, reference architectures, joint go-to-market into regulated and public segments.Help coordinate one or more high-quality pilots between a US SaaS vendor and a European regulated institution (e.g. bank, insurer, public administration) within the next few months.Translate regulatory and sovereignty constraints into partner-friendly narratives and clear win–win value propositions.Provide structured feedback to JaaS39’s product and legal teams on what US vendors need, can accept, and will implement.Represent JaaS39 in relevant Bay Area / US ecosystem events and off-the-record conversations, building trust with a small number of high-value partners rather than chasing broad marketing exposure. You bring8–12+ years in B2B SaaS, with a focus on strategic alliances, business development or ecosystems.Proven experience structuring or closing partnerships with mid-to-late-stage SaaS vendors (Series C+, public companies, or hyperscaler partner programs).A strong network – or credible access path – to decision-makers in SaaS and AI companies: Product, Partnerships, CTO or platform teams.Comfortable operating where compliance, data protection, and regulated customers (finance, health, public sector) are part of the conversation.Able to move fluently between the conceptual (regulation, jurisdiction, risk, sovereignty narratives) and the practical (APIs, security models, integration approaches).Self-directed, used to working with very small, senior teams and to building something from almost zero, without a big machine around you.Excellent communication skills in English; any exposure to European or global regulatory environments is a plus, not a requirement. Why this role is interestingYou will be the first US-facing ecosystem lead, shaping how JaaS39 plugs into the global SaaS and AI landscape. You will work on deals where sovereignty, regulation and AI intersect – exactly where the conversation is heating up for boards and regulators. You will influence not only go-to-market, but also product direction and legal framing for how sovereign control planes are implemented in practice. You will see both sides: US SaaS vendors and European / global regulated customers looking for credible answers on jurisdiction and control.Compensation will include a meaningful equity component aligned with long-term value creation, not just short-term deal volume.Practical details & how to applyLocation: San Francisco Bay Area or US West Coast time zone. Remote-friendly, with regular in-person interactions in the Bay Area. You will work directly with the founding team and with senior counterparts at partners and design customers. If this sounds like the kind of challenge you’ve been waiting for, send us a short note and your LinkedIn profile. We care more about what you’ve built, who you can call, and how you think than about perfect CV formatting. You can apply here on LinkedIn or reach out directly at bizdev@JaaS39.com – whether you’re a candidate for this role or a SaaS / AI vendor interested in exploring a pilot with JaaS39.
