Job description:Helios Towers is a leading independent telecommunications infrastructure company, having established one of the most extensive tower portfolios across Africa. It builds, owns and operates telecom passive infrastructure, providing services to mobile network operators. Helios Towers currently operates in 9 markets in Africa and in the Middle East. OverviewThe Head of Supply Chain is responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain strategy to ensure operational excellence, cost efficiency, and seamless delivery of goods and services. This role plays a critical part in aligning supply chain functions with business objectives, driving innovation, and fostering strong partnerships across procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution.Role ResponsibilitiesAs a Head of Supply Chain, you will be able to:Operational Delivery Managing all purchases in the OpCos (Opex, Capex, SG&A) Implementing the Group defined procurement Strategy and making sure that the processes are followed and respected. Applying the Group operated Supply Chain Transformation Managing and / or executing procurement related functions Overseeing Products/Services costing, managing requests, identifying ways to reduce Product / Services cost, overseeing RFQ and RFP processes Managing logistics, warehousing, and custom clearance. Designing, deploying, and managing relevant measures for reviewing performance across Site Acquisition and lease renewal process Facilitating smooth and reliable functioning of the day-to-day operations of the office through administrative work Maintaining office efficiency such as supplies and ensuring that there are enough supplies available and reordering whenever necessary Participating in annual budgeting exercise Providing input on Cost Projections and Strategies for Optimization Identifying and implementing cost optimization initiatives in coordination with business functions to align with annual budget targets Ensuring tracking of commitments against budget Building collaborative relationships with the other departments. Sharing best practices with the others Supply Chain directors in the other OpCos. Undertaking assignments assigned by Managing Director  Requirements for the RoleTo succeed in the role, you will be/will have: Graduate degree in business administration, Procurement, Logistics or Materia Management plus professional qualifications such as CIPS At least 10 years out of which 5 must be in a senior role  Desired Skills Proven ability to analyse complex business issues and identify, design, and implement effective practical recommendations, IT literacy, ability to operate in a performance driven organization, culturally aware and adept at working across multiple geographies, Intensive experience in purchasing, supply chain management, contract management or outsourcing is a must. Working knowledge of procurement system or ERP and Microsoft Office pack is necessary, fluency in English commercial acumen  Staff Leadership and Management Ability to work in a team Responsible for self-learning and development Ensure cohesive work with their functional area Accountable for meeting and prioritising own targets/deadlines Provide information to line manager on work accomplishments, individual/team challenges     Helios Towers is committed to promoting equal opportunities in employment.
