Job SummaryThe Health Administration Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day administrative functions related to the servicing of health insurance plans. This includes maintaining accurate policy records, assisting with underwriting documentation, and ensuring billing and premium transactions are processed correctly. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Duties And Responsibilities Maintain and update policyholder records, including but not limited to new business entries, amendments, and terminations. Assist in the preparation and submission of underwriting documentation and follow-ups. Generate and review billing statements, ensuring accuracy in premium calculations and adjustments. Reconcile premium payments and coordinate with Broker/Client for resolution of discrepancies. Maintain Health portal for self service capabilities and provide training and support to corporate clients Respond to administrative inquiries from clients, brokers, and internal departments in a timely and professional manner.
Support the onboarding of new group and individual health plans by ensuring all administrative requirements are completed. Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards. Participate in audits, data clean-up exercises, and system updates as required. Escalate complex issues to the Supervisor and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Perform any other duties as assigned. Education/ExperienceKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in insurance administration, preferably in health or life insurance. Familiarity with policy servicing, billing, and underwriting support processes.
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and insurance administration systems. Good communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of group health insurance products and billing cycles would be an asset. Experience with insurance policy administration platforms. Industry certifications (e. g. , LOMA) are an asset.
