Where business needs allow, and with the agreement of your line manager, there may be the option for a combination of workplace and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement.Job SummaryAre you a Human factors risk specialist who is looking to be the expert who turns Human Factors into life-saving strategies for critical Defence projects?If so then this role is for you.The Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) Principal - Human Factors is responsible for the implementation of a Human Factorsstrategy for Dstl, aligned with HSE’s Human Factors Delivery Guide (available at: hf-deliveryguide.pdf (hse.gov.uk)).You will manage Human Factors health, safety and environmental protection risks, particularly in relation to work undertaken on high hazard activities that have the potential to result in major accidents in areas of work with biological agents, very toxic chemicals, energetic materials (e.g.explosives), indoor and outdoor trials and maintenance of critical facilities.You will support the Head of Safety to ensure the successful integration of Human Factors consideration into Dstl HS&E risk management.
