As a Project Developer within the Strategy Team, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing battery energy storage projects from initial concept through to financial close. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills and a deep understanding of the energy sector. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects are aligned with our overall business strategy. This position is remote within the Germany. Therefore, we will consider candidates who are currently based in Germany. Key Responsibilities: Identify and assess potential battery energy storage project opportunities.
Conduct market research to support site selection, grid integration, and project feasibility analysis. Develop business cases and financial models to evaluate project viability. Coordinate with regulatory bodies and local authorities to secure necessary permits and approvals. Collaborate with engineering, finance, and operations teams to ensure projects are designed for commercial success. Lead project proposal development, including technical and financial aspects. Manage project timelines, budgets, and risk assessments. Support contract negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and customers. Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements. Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management and external stakeholders. Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Energy Systems, or a related field. Business fluent English language skills, German language skills would be considered a major plus. 5+ years of experience in project development, energy storage, renewable energy, or related sectors. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. Excellent project management and organizational abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams. Knowledge of energy markets, grid infrastructure, and energy storage technologies is a plus. Proficiency in project management software and financial analysis tools.
