Job Description

We are looking for a Hostess to join our team and be the first point of contact for our guests.Host/Hostess responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times, and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. You should also be available to work in shifts.Ultimately, you’ll ensure we provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our guests.ResponsibilitiesGreet guests promptly and courteously as they arrive; welcome them and offer menus. Manage reservations and waiting lists; provide accurate wait time estimates when required. Escort guests to their table and introduce server/waiter when applicable. Maintain and update the seating chart; balance guest distribution among servers to ensure efficient service. Answer incoming phone calls, respond to guest inquiries about availability, menu, special requests or dietary needs. Monitor the front-of-house area (host stand, waiting area, lobby) for cleanliness, organization, and readiness. Assist wait staff and bus staff as needed — e.g., refilling water, clearing menus, helping during rush periods. Handle guest complaints or special requests with professionalism and involve management when needed. Work with management on opening/closing duties for the host station (setting up, cleaning up, preparing for service) as required.Maintain a professional, stylish, and brand-appropriate appearance at all times.Support management during special events, theme nights, or private functions.Adhere to all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Hospitality Management preferred.Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a restaurant, bar, or lounge environment (preferably in a venue that serves alcohol).Knowledge:-Basic understanding of alcoholic beverages (cocktails, wines, spirits, and mixers). -Familiarity with responsible alcohol service and UAE regulations on alcohol handling. -Awareness of lounge operations, VIP guest handling, and service sequence. Skills:-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Strong organizational and multitasking ability. -Positive, outgoing personality with professional etiquette. -Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. -Attention to grooming, dress code, and presentation standards.-Familiarity with reservation systems / POS systems is a plus.
