This role requires collaboration with senior team members in cost estimation, budget management, procurement, contract administration, and risk management activities. The position demands the ability to independently deliver critical tasks related to quantity take-off, BoQ preparation, and cost tracking while maintaining compliance with industry and company principles. The Quantity Surveyor is expected to contribute to the seamless progress and completion of construction projects, supporting the overall growth and profitability objectives of the company.What You Will DoCost ManagementConduct quantity take-off and prepare Bill of Quantities (BoQ) using Plan Swift, Revit, BIM, or 3D models.Assist in preparation of budgets and cost plans at the support level.Track project expenditure against budget allocations and identify areas of overspending or cost-saving opportunities.Participate actively in cost control workshops and implement cost-saving measures.Procurement and TenderingAssist in procurement and tendering process, including EOI, RFP, tender clarifications, Addenda, tender analysis, PTCs, and draft Tender Evaluation Report.Coordinate vendor onboarding process to ensure all requisite processes are streamlined.Maintain and update all project trackers related to procurement and vendor engagements.Contract AdministrationAssist in preparing contract documents and reviewing contractor submissions to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.Assess claims, variations, and final accounts submitted by contractors, maintaining thorough understanding of contract terms.Review and prepare draft variation orders for consultants and contractors.Documentation and ReportingMaintain accurate records of project costs, variations and payments using project management software or spreadsheets.Assist in preparing and processing invoices and payment certificates, ensuring compliance with company procedures.Prepare cost reports and cash flows regularly to monitor project expenditure and forecast future costs.Prepare draft payment certificates and variation orders.Measurement and ValuationAssist in measuring and valuing construction work completed on-site following standard measurement practices.Support in preparing interim valuations and progress payments to contractors.Verify accuracy of measurements by conducting site visits and inspections.Team SupportProvide support to senior quantity surveyors or project managers by undertaking tasks delegated to them.Collaborate with project team members to contribute to successful delivery of construction projects.Seek guidance and mentorship from experienced colleagues to enhance professional development.Required Skills To Be SuccessfulCost estimation and budgeting expertise.Strong proficiency in measurement and valuation methods.Effective contract administration skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.What Qualifies You For The RoleBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.Working towards professional qualification such as MRICS or MCIOB.2 - 4 years of experience in quantity surveying within the real estate development or construction sectors.Proficiency in MS Office applications and knowledge of Plan Swift, Revit, BIM, 3D models, and PMWeb.About Al-Futtaim Group Real EstateThe real estate development and operations arm of Al-Futtaim, Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate is responsible for a multi-billion-dollar portfolio across MENA.
