Actively encourage and lead the KVI and contractor teams to implement and comply with project HSE requirementsLiaise with KVI corporate HSEDevelop, maintain and implement the Site Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System line with company and external certification requirementsUpdate the HSE documentation during all the project phases when deemed necessaryMonitor compliance with legal requirementsIntervene in a strong and persuasive manner in HSE matters on site and ensures HSE standards are adhered to on site by all.Advise and support all HSE matters at all levels within the site organizationDevelop and apply hazard identification and risk assessment to reduce the risks to ALARPEnsure that risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are reviewed with regards to HSE requirement and that work is carried out in accordance with the RAMSSupport Site Manager on the correct implementation of the Permit to Work systemAct as the main point of contact between the regulatory authorities and the project on HSE issuesUndertake incident investigation and reportingUndertake internal inspections and audits of HSE standards on site and the work practices employedOrganize and participates to HSE meetingsLiaise with other HSE professionals (both internal and external) in order to achieve a positive HSE cultureAssist in emergency response at siteEnsure medical examinations (i.e. drug and alcohol testing, etc.) of all staff is carried out as appropriate on siteEnsure that a professional and competent team of Site HSE Advisors is in placeUndertake site HSE inductions and provides regular HSE training / information for new employeesEnsure the HSE content of training provided by the Company is up to date, relevant and high qualityMonitor regularly the HSE performance through dedicated KPIs and send monthly reportsEstablish lessons learned for current and future projectsRecord information into company database system (PIRS) and keep records up to dateSupport on HSE qualification assessment of suppliersQualificationsDegree in Health, Safety, Environment or Engineering or an internationally recognized HSE qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, or equivalent)Minimum 15 years of professional experience at site as HSE leader for Construction / Commissioning, with experience in large international consortium projectsFamiliar with international HSE regulations and best international practices.Previous experience in the Middle East would be preferredFamiliar with UAE regulations will be a plusSound knowledge of Management systems (ISO 14001, 45001, SCC)Certification as an ISO 14001 and 45001 auditor would be a plusGood knowledge of MS Office.Additional InformationStrong assertiveness as well as a conceptual mindset with implementation strength and a high sense of responsibilityStrong planning and organizational talent as well as a structured and solution-oriented way of workingCommunication and leadership skillsIncident and investigation management experienceFit to work in multicultural working environmentProblem solving oriented, flexible and reliableFor HR agencies: Please note that we do not accept applications coming from agencies.
