As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking an experienced HR Director to lead our human resources function and support our talented team.Position OverviewWe are looking for a strategic and hands-on HR Director to join our team in New York City. This critical leadership role will report to the CFO and oversee all aspects of human resources, with particular emphasis on compliance, benefits administration, and immigration matters. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in HR regulations and a proven track record of building and maintaining compliant, employee-focused HR programs.Key Responsibilities- Lead all HR operations: compliance, onboarding, benefits, immigration, and engagement.- Serve as primary HR liaison to Legal, Finance, and Account Management.- Benefits Strategy & Renewal: Own benefit plan renewals, design strategy, and broker relationships.- Immigration Oversight: Approve sponsorships, renewals, and all immigration vendor/legal engagements; ensure USCIS and DOL compliance.- Engagement & Culture: Lead staff and consultant engagement initiatives (surveys, recognition, DEI, communications)- Oversee compliance, policy updates, and HR audits.- Manage HR budget, vendor relationships, and professional development initiatives.- Occasionally travel to other company offices to meet with employeesQualificationsRequired:10-15+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership roleExperience in the IT, consulting, or professional services industryDeep knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulationsProven experience managing employee benefits programsStrong background in immigration processes and compliance (H-1B, L-1, green cards, etc.)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong employee-facing presentation skills, problem-solving abilities and sound judgmentAbility to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretionBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fieldPreferred:SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certificationMaster's degree in Human Resources or related fieldExperience with HRIS systems and HR analyticsBackground in change management and organizational developmentWhat We OfferCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceComprehensive benefits packageOpportunity to make a significant impact in an established organizationCollaborative and professional work environmentProfessional development opportunitiesLocationThis is an onsite position based in New York City, NY
