You act as a central interface between HR, management, and the works councils, ensuring that all labor law processes are designed in a legally compliant, transparent, and cooperative manner.TasksPrimary ResponsibilitiesAdvising managers and HR colleagues on labor law issuesCollaborating with the works council on co-determination matters, especially regarding projects, restructuring, and company agreementsDeveloping and implementing strategies to promote positive labor relationsSupporting conflict resolution processesEnsuring compliance with labor law regulations and internal policiesImplementing global HR projects in accordance with the German Works Constitution Act (BetrVG)Negotiating and coordinating with works councils as part of international and local HR initiativesRepresent the company in labor law disputes, including coordination with legal counsel and external stakeholders.Drafting and reviewing labor law documents (e.g., employment contracts, warnings, terminations)Conducting training sessions on labor law topics for managers and HR staffSupport labor law topics and employee relations matters in other European countries in coordination with local HR and legal teams.RequirementsRequired Experience, Education, Skills, Training and CompetenciesCompleted studies in law, business law, human resources management or a comparable fieldSeveral years of professional experience in labor law / employee relationsIn-depth knowledge of German labor law and the Works Constitution ActStrong communication and negotiation skillsStructured and solution-oriented working styleBusiness fluent German and English skills (spoken and written)Travel RequirementsCa. 50% travel, including internationallyRegular presence at the Novanta sites in Berlin, Ludwigsstadt and Wackersdorf
