Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas related to the human resources field. They should be comfortable onboarding new candidates and collecting necessary background information as well as assisting employees while at work. This candidate should work closely with management in order to provide training for employees and establish ways to increase employee engagement. Role PurposeThe HR Business Partner for the Middle East & Africa (MEA) supports senior business leaders across the region by delivering strategic HR guidance, enabling workforce effectiveness, and driving organizational performance. This role partners closely with leadership teams in multiple MEA markets to ensure people strategies align with business expansion, talent needs, and the regional regulatory landscape.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic HR PartnershipAct as a trusted advisor to MEA business leaders, providing insights on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.Translate regional business objectives into actionable HR initiatives and programs.Support expansion initiatives across Middle East and African markets, ensuring HR frameworks comply with local labor regulations.Talent Management & DevelopmentPartner with managers to identify regional talent gaps, succession needs, and capability-building priorities.Drive MEA talent programs, including leadership development, early careers, and internal mobility.Ensure robust performance management processes are executed across all MEA entities.Employee Relations & ComplianceOversee employee relations and advise leaders on best practices aligned with DIFC employment law and local regulations in MEA markets.Manage sensitive investigations, discipline, and conflict resolution with fairness and cultural awareness.Compensation & Workforce PlanningCollaborate with Total Rewards to deliver fair, competitive, and consistent compensation practices across MEA.Partner with Finance and business units on annual manpower planning and budgeting cycles.Regional HR OperationsEnsure HR policies, procedures, and employee experiences are consistent and locally relevant.Work closely with HR Operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding, mobility, payroll, and visa processes for regional talent.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field; HR certification preferred.7–10 years of HRBP experience with at least 3 years supporting MEA markets.Strong knowledge of DIFC employment law and regional labor legislation.Experience working in a multinational or financial services environment preferred.Ability to travel across MEA as required.What We Offer:Opportunity to influence and shape people development strategy in a growing organization.A collaborative and forward-thinking culture.Competitive compensation and benefits package.Professional development and career growth opportunities.Gemcorp was formed in 2017 by Gemcorp Capital a London based investment manager to cover a wide range of investment opportunities across sectors including water management, energy, infrastructure, equipment and information and ICT.
