HR DirectorLocation: Hybrid (primarily on-site, 1 day remote) Salary Range: $100,000–$130,000Robert Half is partnering with a mission-driven organization that’s entering an exciting new chapter of growth and transformation. With approximately 200 employees and a people-first culture, they’re seeking a HR Director to lead HR strategy and operations across the organization.This is a hands-on leadership role that will oversee a small HR team, partner closely with senior leadership, and play a key role in shaping organizational culture, engagement, and development. The ideal candidate brings HR leadership experience within organizations of 200–500 employees and thrives in a collaborative, community-oriented environment.Experience working in or alongside a unionized environment is strongly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on workforce planning, organizational design, and culture.Lead and develop an HR team covering talent acquisition, learning and development, benefits, and employee relations.Oversee employee relations and act as a liaison in union-related matters, including contract implementation.Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives that align with organizational values.Partner with leadership to design and execute programs that enhance employee engagement, growth, and retention.Ensure compliance with employment laws and consistent application of HR policies.Oversee payroll, benefits, and compensation programs to ensure competitiveness and equity.Support ongoing change management efforts tied to an organizational consolidation.Qualifications8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or HR Director role.Experience managing a team and influencing at the executive level.Background supporting organizations of 200–500 employees, ideally in mission-driven or community-oriented settings.Strong foundation in employee relations, employment law, and organizational development.Union experience preferred (negotiation, administration, or first-contract implementation).Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field required, advanced degree or HR certification a plus.Why This RoleMission-focused organization with a collaborative, inclusive leadership team.Opportunity to lead through meaningful organizational change.Culture that values authenticity, approachability, and genuine employee connection.
