Job Description Job Title:                         Human Resources ManagerLocation:                         Sy-Klone’s Jacksonville, FL office (100% on-site)Type:                               Salaried, ExemptReports to:                      CEOTravel:                              < 5%Position Summary     The Human Resources Manager will lead the HR function and serve as a strategic partner to leadership while managing the full employee lifecycle. This role balances hands-on HR operations with strategic initiatives, ensuring compliance, driving employee engagement, and fostering a positive, high-performance culture. As the primary HR leader, the Manager will act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers while implementing scalable HR practices that align with business goals.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPartner with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.Provide insights and recommendations on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management.Lead the HR function and team, setting direction for HR initiatives and ensuring the department operates effectively to support organizational goals.Provide input into the annual HR budget, including recommendations related to benefits, training, recognition programs, and other HR initiatives.Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance, development, and offboarding.Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on policies, employee relations, and investigations, including disciplinary actions and performance improvement processes.Promote a positive employer-employee relationship and foster employee morale and motivation.Manage and maintain the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring accurate employee data, effective reporting, and compliance with applicable regulations.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Liaise with outside legal counsel, auditors, or government agencies as required.Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.Develop and implement HR initiatives that promote a positive company culture and employee engagement.Lead internal communication on HR-related programs, policies, and initiatives.Drive performance management and goal-setting processes, and support training and development initiatives by equipping managers with tools, resources, and coaching for employee growth.Oversee payroll coordination and benefits administration, collaborating with brokers, vendors, and advisors to ensure accurate processing and competitive, cost-effective offeringsHandle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of professionalism.Support special HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.Qualifications The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job well:Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Requires 5+ years of progressive HR experience with supervisory or team leadership responsibilities.Must be proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be willing to wear multiple hats, and skilled at using discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.Proven ability to manage recruitment, payroll, benefits, and performance processes.Experience managing and optimizing HRIS platforms required; Paylocity experience strongly preferred.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on HR administration.Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookExperience in high-growth or small company environments strongly preferred.Desire to be a leader in the development of scalable infrastructure at a growing companyWhy Join Sy-Klone?
