Job Description

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Provides Leadership in Planning, Developing,Coordinating, and Evaluating the Service Delivery System for theDivision Monitors programs and services for efficiency andcomprehensiveness. Analyzes current and projects future needs. Designsand recommends program and staffing modifications to meet currentanticipated needs. Facilitates/coordinates with other communityprofessionals and/or organizations to be aware of, and resolve, any gapsin services. Assumes primary responsibility for developing divisiongoals and objectives. Assumes primary responsibility for designing andimplementing methods of collection appropriate statistical information.Assumes primary responsibility to evaluate division programs foreffectiveness. Advises Health and Human Services Board on policy matterspertaining to division issues. Participates on the Elder Abuse I Team.Participates on the Suicide Prevention Task Force. Monitors the crisisfacility and Mobile Crisis Unit. Is available 24/7 for assistance withcritical incidents. Directly Supervises Portage House Supervisor,Special Needs Programs Supervisor, Mental Health Clinic Staff, AdultProtective Services, CSP Staff, Crisis Intervention, OWI Assessor, andJail Social Worker. Recommends hiring and termination, supervises, andevaluates all personnel within the division either directly or bydelegation. Ensures new staff are trained. Organizes regular conferencesand staff training. Promotes staff development through individualguidance, in service programs, and ensure appropriate attendance atother training events. Administers personnel policies as necessary.Coordinates all division reorganizations to maximize programeffectiveness as well as staff efficiencies. Assumes Oversight for theCCS/CRS Programs. Consult with CCS and CRS staff on CCS/CRS issues.Attend CCS Management meetings and participate in CCS coordinatingcommittee. Assumes Responsibility for Division Budget. In conjunctionwith section supervisors, develops division budget. Monitors allexpenditures and revenues throughout the year. Recommends priorities forfunding for the division. Pursues additional revenue and developsgrants. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Experience inprogram planning, administration, budgeting, and staff managementPreferred. Experience With Crisis Intervention And Elderly Servicesincluding guardianship issues preferred. Experience in the mental healthAnd AODA Fields Preferred.Experience Working With Adult Correctionalclients preferred. License/Certification in social work preferred. OneYear Computer Experience Required.
