Job Summary: As a Barback, you'll play a vital support role in maintaining seamless bar operations and ensuring bartenders can focus on delivering exceptional guest service. From restocking supplies to keeping the bar clean and organized, your efficiency and attention to detail contribute directly to a great guest experience. Job Duties & Functions: Prepare bar areas by stocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and other supplies. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including counters, floors, and bar tools, throughout the shift. Assist bartenders with setup and breakdown of the bar before and after service.
Remove used glassware, sanitize and restock clean glasses regularly. Replenish ice bins and assist with trash and recycling disposal. Respond quickly to bartender needs during peak service times. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Attend all required training sessions and consistently follow Forbes/AAA service standards. Support team members with additional bar or restaurant duties as needed. Performs other duties and attends meetings, as assigned by hotel/department leadership. Education & Experience: 1 year of experience in a bar or hospitality support role preferred. Food Handler and/or Responsible Beverage Service Certification (as applicable).
Willingness to learn bar operations and POS systems. Reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated to support a high-performing team. Ability to lift equipment and stand or walk for extended periods. Ability to read, write, and converse in English. Additional languages are a plus. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
